Linda Steele, Program Coordinator
Linda oversees the creation and implementation of all Circles of Support programming in partnership with Harlem community members, organizations, and houses of worship. She facilitates the Raising My Voice and Raising My Voice-Kin public speaking and leadership training programs for formerly incarcerated individuals and their loved ones, respectively. She helped found Talk2Me, a support group for women with incarcerated loved ones. Linda has over a decade of experience helping returning citizens of all ages make meaningful change in their professional and personal lives, and previously worked as a Re-Entry Case Manager and Workforce Development Coordinator at the Harlem Community Justice Center.
Thomas Edwards, Special Projects Manager
Thomas oversees the development of new pilot programs focused on formerly incarcerated youth. He also coordinates our Advisory Board of formerly incarcerated individuals who provide critical input in the development of all Circles of Support Initiatives. He previously worked as the Community Engagement Specialist at the Harlem Community Justice Center, and as a project manager for a youth program at Exodus Transitional Community, Inc. Thomas has a BA in Behavior Science from Mercy College and an MA in Professional Studies (MPS) from New Theological Seminary. He has also published a novel.
LILA GARCIA, Family Support Coordinator
Lila oversees various programs working with families or those with incarcerated loved ones. She is the Family Support Coordinator and facilitates Talk2Me, a support group for women with incarcerated loved ones, as well as Raising My Voice-Kin, the public speaking and leadership training program for individuals whose loved ones are or have been incarcerated. She is a case management professional and has worked for twenty years in various capacities within social services specializing in providing support, advocacy and resources to people coming home from prison and those with mental health challenges.
